The Big Picture Program

The Big Picture Program gathers Year 10, 11 and 12 students from across Australia with the aim to instill in them a sense of direction and to channel their talents, passions and dreams to make a positive contribution to society.

Beyond equipping students to make wise career decisions, the program aims to cultivate in young men an awareness of the “bigger picture”, extending to an understanding and sense of responsibility for society and their relationships with family and friends.

The Big Picture Program runs from Monday 8 to Friday 12 July and in 2019 will be held at Castlereagh Christian Conference Centre.

We hare hoping to take a group of students from Brisbane, driving down the day before, and returning the day after. We will break the trips there and back by staying the night in a rented holiday house at Diamond Beach, NSW.

Depart: 9am, Sunday 7 July (please attend Sunday Mass before)

Return: 8pm, Saturday 13 July

Cost: $450 ($350 conference fee + $100 to cover petrol, accommodation and food on the trip to and from Sydney)

Participants are advised to bring the following items:

  • A packed lunch for the 1st day

  • A set of formal attire

  • Sports clothes

  • Pen & paper for note taking

  • Soap and other toiletries

  • If you are a musician, we encourage you to bring your instrument (e.g. guitar, violin, saxophone, etc)
