Overview
The team at Aldridge Study Centre organise a number of activities for men of all ages: some run weekly, monthly, or annually. All activities are aimed at the formation of men.

Monthly Talks
Every month there are a few doctrinal talks run by men for men. The talks touch on living a virtuous life, understanding faith and how to live life as a better husband, father, son.
The Fortitude Talk - held in the Fortitude Valley area, on Thursday evenings.
The Manly Talk - held in the Manly area, in the evening.
The City Talk - held in the Brisbane city, lunch time.

Evenings of Recollection
Monthly | Wednesdays 6:00pm - 8:00pm
The evenings of recollection aim to help men better live their faith in the midst of their work and family responsibilities. The schedule of the recollection includes:

Spiritual reading for personal reflection

A meditation preached by a priest of Opus Dei
-
Points for examining one’s Christian life
-
Holy Mass
Throughout the evening there are also opportunities for sacramental confession with the priest.
Recollections take place every second Wednesday of the month at Holy Spirit Church, Auchenflower (17 Harriett St, Auchenflower) beginning at 6pm and finish by 8pm with Holy Mass.
Weekend Retreats
Two each year | Friday 6:00pm - Sunday 3:00pm
Retreats provide a weekend away to reflect on God and the living out of one's faith at work, home and in social life. They are a wonderful annual activity to reconnect with your faith.
Retreats are conducted by priests of Opus Dei and include:

Periods of guided prayer in the chapel

Opportunity to attend Holy Mass and receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation

Some talks on virtues and prayer life

Time for personal reflection

Praying of the Stations of the Cross and the Rosary
The retreats begin at 6.00pm Friday night and finish by 3.00 pm Sunday afternoon and are held at Santa Teresa Spirituality Centre (267 Wellington St, Ormiston).
